As the summer of 2026 winds down, new data reveals Czechs are traveling more, but spending significantly less than their European neighbors.
Despite operating on the second-lowest vacation budget in Europe; averaging just EUR 1,486 an impressive 76 percent of residents still packed their bags for a holiday this year, easily outpacing the EU average.
Whether they were loading up the family car for the traditional drive to Croatia or utilizing buses at double the typical European rate, locals proved that tighter wallets don't mean staying home.
The numbers offer a telling look at the local knack for stretching a koruna while prioritizing summer escapes.
