At Halloweentime, the haunted house attraction is a seasonal mainstay in the USA that sees visitors walk through simulated scenes of horror set up in diverse locations such as a school gymnasium or abandoned home.

At their best and biggest, such as Universal Studios Horror Nights in Orlando and L.A., multiple attractions are set up in vacant studio lots, with hordes of actors portraying ghosts, zombies, and other cinematic horror icons to terrify passers-by.

Outside of the States, however, haunted attractions can be tough to come by. While actual haunted locations might be prevalent in the Czech Republic, for years the closest thing to a simulated attraction has been Burg Frankenstein in neighboring Germany.

But now, the Czech Republic might have its very first haunted house attraction.

The Horror Mill, located at a creepy mill estate in Brandýs nad Labem (a short ride northeast of Prague) that dates back to 1863, has been in operation since May of this year.

Coming in at the back end of Prague’s Escape Game craze, the attraction promises an hour of horror for anyone brave enough to enter.

What exactly can you expect at the Horror Mill? The proprietors have kept the details under wraps, but photos from the location depict blood-spattered walls, body parts strung up on chains, and at least one chainsaw.

According to a post on their Facebook page, about 30% of those who enter find the experience too grueling and give up before the end. The Mill only accepts visitors aged 18 and older.

Standard entry fee is 900 CZK per person for groups of 2-4, but keep an eye on the Horror Mill Facebook page for discounts; currently, a group rate of 1599 CZK is being offered for those who book in advance through October.
