American String Quartets at Antonín Dvořák's Birthplace

Students from the University of Iowa, a few kilometers from Spillville, where Dvořák spent the summer of 1893 and wrote his "American" string quartet, travel to his actual birthplace to perform it. The Conifer Quartet and Seamark Quartet round out the program with Beethoven's Op. 18 No. 4 and pieces by contemporary composers Gabriel Kahane and Sam Young. Nelahozeves. (Aug. 8)
