🎞️ The Throwback
This hot summer weekend, take a trip back to another boiler in the Czech capital through the classic 1965 noir Ninety Degrees in the Shade. The Czech-British co-production, set in the midst of a steamy Prague summer, stars Rudolf Hrušínský alongside some top British thespians.
For historical Prague-watchers, the film's opening scenes feature some great footage of the city's former public swimming pools on the Vltava River at Občanská plovárna. Ninety Degrees in the Shade isn't readily available to stream through the usual channels, but can be seen in full on YouTube in both Czech and English-language versions.
