The second edition of Salon Mánes Summer fixes its lens on contemporary figurative work across generations – painters, draftspeople, sculptors, and artists deploying less familiar techniques, all united by a fixation on the human form as storyteller.

The patron saint of vineyards gets her moment this weekend at the Botanical Garden, where you can grab a curated picnic basket (wines sourced from St. Clara's vineyards, plus charcuterie and delicacies) and sprawl on borrowed blankets under the shade of ancient trees. The 23rd edition of Prague's famed contemporary circus and theater festival storms Letná Park for better part of August, flooding two-and-a-half weeks with some 200 world-class shows – top international acts alongside the cream of Czech circus and theater companies performing feats of physical and artistic prowess that will leave you slack-jawed.

The Club of Friends of Exotic Birds (KPEP) brings its annual showcase back to the Botanical Garden – nearly 70 species spanning every bird order, including five new debuts making their first-ever appearance in the garden after decades of exhibitions. Kids can roam freely among the collections while vendors sell feed, supplies, literature, and live birds sourced directly from dedicated Czech breeders.

Prague's scrappiest flea market crawls out of summer hibernation at the MeetFactory courtyard on Aug. 16 – over thirty vendors hawking vintage threads, accessories, driftwood plant stands, dog-eared paperbacks. And if you're in the mood for more shopping, the Fashion Arena Summer Final Sale runs simultaneously Aug. 12–16 for shoppers hunting high-street steals before the season closes.
