Watching a late-night film under the stars has become a Prague tradition. While this year sees fewer places on the line up than last year, there are some notable new venues.
Here's where to watch open-air cinema (Letní kina) this summer in the Czech capital.

What's new in 2022
This year Kinský Garden and monastery-turned-culture space Gabriel Loci, on the west side of town will open summer cinemas. The square in front of City Hall, Mariánské náměstí, will screen “silent” films, during which the audience will wear headphones so as not to disturb the neighborhood. Titles have yet to be announced.
There are also two drive-ins, both with some seating for the carless: Auto Kino Strahov and Autokino#Ledarny. In Prague, MeetFactory, Cross Club, and Kasárna Karlín, currently rank as the most-visited summer cinemas on GoOut.cz
What to know before you go
As with all Czech cinemas, many screenings, especially of Czech classic films, will not have subtitles and some Hollywood films may be dubbed into Czech. Make sure to check the schedule for the language before heading out. Also, note that while a handful of summer cinemas are free most charge admission.
