The Czech Republic recovers from the worst mass shooting in the country's history this weekend following Thursday's deadly events. A national day of mourning has been declared for today, with a minute of silence being observed at noon and church bells ringing throughout the country.

From yesterday, mourners have been paying their respects to the victims of Thursday's shooting with memorials at Jan Palach Square and Charles University's Faculty of Arts, the scene of the shooting, as well as by the Carolinum, the seat of Charles University in Prague.
