Qualified Primary Teacher – Bilingual Programme

TOSCOOL is seeking a fully qualified, experienced, English-speaking primary school teacher to join our bilingual education programme at one of our partner primary schools in Prague.

For 15 years, TOSCOOL has been developing and delivering innovative Czech–English bilingual education, combining strong academic foundations with an engaging, student-centred approach to learning.

Our teachers work alongside Czech colleagues to provide meaningful English-language instruction across the primary curriculum.

The Position

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic primary educator who can create a structured and academically stimulating classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum.

• Teaching English Language Arts and curriculum subjects through English.

• Establishing effective classroom routines and maintaining positive behaviour.

• Assessing student progress and adapting instruction to individual learning needs.

• Working collaboratively with Czech teaching partners and the TOSCOOL methodology team.

• Encouraging active participation, critical thinking and confident communication in English.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• A recognised university-level qualification in Primary or Elementary Education.

• A primary teaching qualification or professional teaching licence (such as QTS, PGCE Primary with QTS, BEd or an internationally recognised equivalent).

• Native-level English proficiency.

• Strong classroom management, lesson-planning and differentiation skills.

• Experience teaching primary-aged children in a structured school environment.

Please note: TEFL, TESOL or CELTA qualifications alone, without a recognised primary teaching qualification, do not meet the requirements for this position.

Experience in bilingual education, ESL or international schools is an advantage.
