According to a new survey released ahead of the autumn elections, more than half of Czech workers want to see a significant reduction in foreign labor—even as the country faces the EU’s second-lowest unemployment rate and more than 95,000 job vacancies.

The survey, conducted by personnel company Předvýběr among 500 employees, contract workers, and self-employed people aged 18 to 59, reveals broad dissatisfaction with the government’s handling of the labor market.

A slim majority (52 percent) rated Prime Minister Petr Fiala’s cabinet as unsatisfactory on employment policy, while another 17 percent considered its performance outright poor.
