Czech Republic coronavirus updates, June 10: 54 new cases, death toll reaches 330

The Czech Republic reported 54 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, according to the latest figures provided by the Czech Health Ministry this morning.

The number of new COVID-19 cases in the Czech Republic on Tuesday was slightly down from the 69 new cases reported on Monday and 61 on Sunday. Since the beginning of May, the daily number of new cases has largely been stagnating at between 30 and 70. Only once over the past six weeks has the total exceeded 100.

A total of 4,139 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, down slightly from the 4,736 on Monday but significantly higher than Sunday’s 2,019.

One additional COVID-19-related death was recorded on Tuesday, bringing the total to 330.

Five recoveries have been reported for Tuesday thus far, following 22 on Monday. The total number of recoveries now sits at 7,057.

The number of patients currently infected with COVID-19 in the Czech Republic now stands at 2,376. Only 113 of those patients are currently being hospitalized.

Yesterday, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a new interactive map that indicates the risk of COVID-19 and travel restrictions for countries across the globe. The map is intended to clarify some of the questions Czech residents may have regarding travel to foreign countries.

From June 15, it is expected that a large number of European countries, including Germany, will remove the travel restrictions currently in place with their neighbors.

Yesterday, Prague’s Metronome Festival, which had been postponed from June until September, announced that it had been officially cancelled for 2020.
