The Czech labor market is in the midst of a major democratic shift, according to a new study by the Moore CR consulting group. After 2030, the gap between those leaving and those entering the job market will start to widen fast, according to the report, and Czechia could face a shortage of almost half a million people by 2045. The analysis identifies three complementary pillars to mitigate the trend: a coherent migration policy, convincing people to remain economically active longer, and significant support for retraining.

28-year-old Czech archer Marie Horáčková stunned her opponents as she sailed to victory at the World Cup Final in Saltillo, Mexico, on her first such appearance. Horáčková qualified for the eight-woman World Cup Final thanks to her victory at a World Cup event in Madrid back in July - already becoming the first Czech female archer to win a World Cup tournament. She beat two Mexican archers and Germany's Katharina Bauer in the decisive face-off.
