Culture Pavel welcomes visitors to Prague Castle open day

Culture Survey: Czechs spending more on culture
Czechs are spending more on cultural activities this year, allocating an average of CZK 461 per month compared to CZK 323 last year, according to a new Culture Index published by Creative Europe. The survey shows culture remains central to people’s identity and quality of life, with strong support even during economic strain. Reading is the most common cultural activity, while streaming platforms continue to grow across age groups.
DEFENSE Czechia to submit plan for SAFE loan use
The Czech Ministry of Defense will present a plan to the European Commission to spend up to CZK 52 billion from the new SAFE (Security Action for Europe) loan program. Funds are earmarked for Leopard 2A8 tanks, Tatra T-815 vehicles, and part of the D11 highway construction. The plan must be submitted by Nov. 30; final approval and legal confirmation are expected in early 2026.
