Baby Hippo Makes Splash at Prague Zoo

Prague Zoo welcomed one of its newest additions on January 28 when hippopotamus pair Slávek and Maruška gave birth to their third child, a baby boy.

The Zoo announced the birth last Friday and released a pair of pictures of the yet-to-be-named newcomer from photographer Petr Hamerník.

On Saturday, February 20, the new baby made his first public appearance, with press cameras on hand to capture the event.
