Troja Chateau hosts a group exhibition using the labyrinth as metaphor for human thinking, life's path, and fear of the unknown. Nine Czech artists tackle key social questions through installations that confront visitors with their own positions: Vojtěch Hrubant's Relief Evolution on conformity, Veronika Homolová's Map of Fear confronting phobias, Tereza Bartůňková's Spring working with darkness and mirrors for self-encounter, Eva Koťátková's Machine for Restoring Empathy creating space for care and mutual support.

Baron Prášil

Laterna magika brings Baron Prášil (Baron Munchausen) to Stavovské divadlo in a wordless multimedia production where the legendary fantasist faces trial in a dystopian near-future that criminalizes imagination. Radim Vizváry plays Prášil without speaking, his tall tales told through film projections, live drawings by illustrator Galina Miklínová, bunraku-style puppets, and former prima ballerina Nikola Márová dancing as a dying swan the baron tries to save instead of hunt.

Majáles 2026

Prague's legendary student festival returns Friday for its 20th year since revival, beginning with a free parade launching 9:30 a.m. from Smíchovská náplavka toward Strossmayerovo náměstí. Four floats will carry live bands through the streets before the main festival grounds open at Letňany at 10:30 a.m.. Three stages deliver pop-rock nostalgia, rap and urban, and a brand-new dance stage headlined by world-class drum'n'bass: Rudimental (returning after 14 years), Sigma, and Dimension flying in direct from Coachella.

New Town Hall hosts a special fairy tale version of the Invisible Exhibition designed for kids ages 4–8. Children navigate total darkness completing fairy tale tasks, meeting Cinderella, Goldilocks, and various animals while experiencing magical adventures that help them overcome fear of the dark. The sensory experience teaches kids to trust their non-visual senses while guides (visually impaired educators) lead them through spaces where touch, sound, and imagination replace sight.
