Czech military hospital fraud probe detains 11

The National Centre against Organised Crime (NCOZ) detained 11 people during a raid on the Central Military Hospital (UVN) in Prague over obstruction of justice and fraud, prosecutor Richard Petrásek said. Suspects are also accused of falsifying medical reports, issuing false reports, and accepting and offering bribes. The operation involved Military Police cooperation. PM Andrej Babiš said he will discuss UVN with Defence Minister Jaromír Zůna, regretting its decline and criticizing previous cabinet’s director appointment.

According to spokesperson Dagmar Sochorová, CCTV footage showed the suspect carrying the skull, and police are seeking public assistance. Police said the historical value of the relic is incalculable. Saint Zdislava, born around 1220 in Křižanov, was known for her mercy, charity, and healing work.
