Each week, our editors will be rounding up the best events for the English-speaking community: places to meet new people, test your knowledge, learn something, or just get out of the house.

This week’s calendar runs from June 15-20, with tips for outdoor food, cultural, and music festivals including Prague Ice Cream Festival, the Amazing Thailand Festival, and Metronome Prague as the city looks towards an upcoming heatwave.

  • June 15: Czech Craft Club at L’Objet Trouvé combines crafting, Czech language practice, and socializing in a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop.
  • June 16: Czech Conversation Sessions at Cože? offers a relaxed, mixed-level meet-up for practicing Czech over coffee or a drink.
  • June 18: A Czech conversation club meetup at the Municipal Library in Lužiny offers a free, friendly space to practice Czech and discuss everyday life.
  • June 19–20: Geological Day at the Czech Geological Survey on Klárov offers hands-on science activities for all ages, including gold panning and mineral microscopy.

Art

  • June 16: Focusing on art in public spaces, Festival m3 opens in Prague 7 and 8, with site-specific installations and performances through September.
  • June 18: Lorraine Artsy opens a new exhibit Beyond The Noise at Creative and Culture Center VARY&TE in Karlovy Vary, featuring acrylic paintings inspired by nature.
  • June 19: Memory of Touch: Chapter I opens at Kunsthalle Praha, bringing together historical and contemporary works exploring fragility and vulnerability.

FOR FOODIES

  • June 15–21: Oatly hosts a city-wide takeover for Prague Oat Week, with free drinks, workshops, pop-ups, and events across multiple venues in the Czech capital.
  • June 19–20: Pivo na Náplavce brings 40+ Czech mini and microbreweries to Rašínovo nábřeží for a tasting festival of craft beers, food stalls, live music.
  • June 20: The Asia Food Fest at Smíchovská náplavka transforms the riverfront into a street food festival featuring Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, and fusion Asian cuisine.
  • June 20–21: Prague Ice Cream Festival at Výstaviště Praha brings dozens of ice cream makers, tastings, family activities, and live entertainment.
  • June 21: The Karlín Street Food Festival at Karlínské náměstí offers international street food, live DJs, music performances, and children’s workshops.

  • All week: Friendship Prague collects unwanted clothing at Žižkovšiška, giving donated items a second life while supporting people in need.
  • June 17: Jiřího z Poděbrad Square (Jiřák) reopens after redevelopment with a day-long free program featuring live music, dance, and community performances.
  • June 19: The Amazing Thailand Festival at Smíchovská náplavka transforms the riverfront into Thailand for a day with traditional dance, live music, and authentic Thai cuisine.
  • June 20: Polish Day in the Gardens opens the Embassy of Poland’s garden to the public for Polish food tastings, regional presentations, and live music.
  • June 20: RefuFest 2026 at VILA Štvanice marks its 20th anniversary on World Refugee Day with intercultural music, dance, food, workshops, and more.

  • June 16–20: Prague hosts the Women’s Softball World Championship at Svoboda Park, featuring top international teams including Czechia, Australia, Italy, and Canada.
  • June 19: Mindful Yoga with Isabel Guzman in Stromovka Park offers a free, beginner-friendly outdoor yoga session in English, with no prior experience needed.
  • June 20: Weekly HIIT Workouts at Centrální park Pankrác offer a free outdoor high-intensity training session with scalable exercises for all fitness levels.
  • June 20: L’Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France brings an amateur cycling race with closed-road routes, fan zones, and a festival village at Centrální park Pankrác.
  • June 21: The 106th Czech Derby takes place at Chuchle Arena Praha; the highlight of the Czech horse racing season includes a main Derby and supporting classic races.
