The International Montessori School of Prague is currently seeking qualified candidates to work as a Assistant Teachers in our Toddler (15 months to 3 years) classroom.
Applicants must be fluent in English, Czech is an advantage and legally able to live and work in the Czech Republic. Prior experience is preferred but not necessary. Applicants must be able to work successfully as part of a team and have excellent professional conduct.
Requirements:
A passion for working with toddler aged children, love for their challenging but rewarding nature. Commitment to serving children as part of the school team.
Love of Learning: a deep curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about development and needs of this age group according to the Montessori method
High school diploma required, college degree in a related field (education, social work, psychology, etc.) an advantage
English and Czech fluency: one at C2, other at least at the B2 or C1 level.
Communicative and flexible worker, reliable and self-organized.
Experience with children, ideally in a group setting. Previous teaching experience a
Legally able to live and work in the Czech Republic on the basis of a Zivnostensky list
Able to physically keep up with a group of children, including getting up and down on the floor or lifting 30 pounds
Previous experience with Montessori is welcome but not a must. However, we do require an open and respectful attitude to children and our educational model, as well as a willingness to learn and professionally develop on the job.

Job duties and tasks involve:
Assist in the classroom during the day: supporting the teachers in classroom management, working with children individually and in small groups, encouraging and guiding activity and peer interactions; supporting transitions and non-academic activities; managing classroom tasks (cleaning, organizing, paperwork).
Making/creating customized lessons and activities as guided by the teacher.
Oversee the Toddler After School Program, including planning activities and games, arts and crafts and outside play.
Communicate with parents as needed.
Actively participate in events, activities, field trips, etc. organized by the School
