He is 27. He is British. Ever since his debut single Up All Night he became the name to look out for in the UK. His new single Too Close is #1 in Germany and #4 in the UK. His name is Alex Clare and he will play for Prague on October 21 at Roxy.Clare was raised initially on jazz and blues records of his father, later turning his interest to British drum and bass and garage scenes. His music is a vivid and fascinating conglomerate of various inspirations, usually with focus on dubstep, drum and bass and pop. Clare’s compositions are currently topping the hitparades in the UK, US, The Netherlands and Germany.Clare released his debut album The Lateness of The Hour last year through Universal Music. The record has so far gathered incredible success with its song Too Close. This song was featured in Microsoft advertisement for Internet Explorer 9. Immediately, the song rocketed on the list for Hot 100 and sold over 100 000 downloads.
