FESTIVALS

29/6-7/7 47th Karlovy Vary IFF 2012: One of the oldest film festivals in the world. A star-studded event with the very best in movies.

3-6. Rock For People: Hradec Králové’s Festival Park flings its doors open for another exciting Rock-Fest. Faith No More, Example, Skrillex, The Kooks and The Prodigy plus many, many more.

12-15. Colours of Ostrava: The 11th edition looks impressive. Bobby Mcferrin, Flaming Lips, Animal Collective plus many, many more. Plenty of information found on the official website.

2. Pearl Jam: Selling over 31.5 million records since their formation in 1990, Pearl Jam have outlasted many of their contemporaries.

2. Neneh Cherry & The Thing: 90s Swedish pop import Neneh teams up with The Thing for some new music for the masses!

4. Trio Martinů Chamber Concert: A performance taking place at the Czech Museum of Music. Chamber music from world-class musicians.

10. Warpaint: Hypnotic vocals and driving post punk rhythms from the American band.

10.Damien Rice: Irish folk-rock singer-songwriter Damien Rice brings his sounds to Prague’s Roxy!

17. Far East Movement: Roxy welcomes US hip-pop-electro! Bright gaudy garments with catchy songs!

19. Black Lips: Famous for wild and outlandish stage shows, the Atlanta natives are sure to put on a show to remember.

31. Kurt Vile & The Violators: The toast of the US, Kurt Vile & The Violators perform their unique blend of indie.
