Starting from today you may spot some unique faux facial hair adorning trams and busses in the Czech capital and beyond.

The Prague public transit authority has announced that its mustachioed machinery will support the 2018 Movember campaign, a worldwide event that sees millions of guys around the globe grow mustaches to raise awareness of men’s health issues.

Writing on its Facebook page, DPP announced: “Like the other twelve cities in the Czech Republic, the DPP supports the project in this way and helps to spread awareness about male health.”

Its aim is to reach as many people as possible throughout the city streets.

“This is another joint project under the auspices of the Association of Transport Companies of the Czech Republic,” says Michal Kraus, Chairman of SDP CR and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Plzň DPP, of the mustaches that will appear at the head of several hundred buses and trams not only in Prague, but in other cities.

“We are pleased to be able to help our project organizers who perform wonderful and meritorious work,” he adds.

The Movember Charity Global Campaign is hosted by the Men’s Anti-Cancer Endowment Fund in the Czech Republic, which supports research projects focused on the development of urological tumors, promotes awareness in this field, and helps to raise financial resources for the purchase of instruments used to treat cancer patients.
