Open in summer 2013, Containall, an outdoor culture center and bar in a shipping container, was at the forefront of Prague’s urban revival movement.
Spending a number of successful seasons in a riverside Malá Strana courtyard it also opened an outpost at the former Stalin monument in Letenské sady.
Hosting everything from exhibits to ping-pong tournaments and flea markets, both Containall venues have become favorite warm-weather hangouts for locals and expats alike.
With the Malá Strana location closing in 2017, last week organizers announced a new Containall venue—Stromovka park, Prague’s largest, leafiest green space.
The opening for the new season will take place on May 4; on the line-up for the spring and summer months, open-air cinema, live music, and a sports facilities for public use.
