EFL Teacher (Young Learners and Adults)

AKCENT International House Prague is currently looking for full-time and part-time teachers of English for Young Learner and Adult classes. All roles are offered on a freelance (zivno) basis.

AKCENT is a well-respected and established language school that has been operating for over 30 years. The teaching role on offer involves:

  • planning and teaching group classes and one-to-ones (face-to-face and online) both in our school close to Budějovická metro station in Prague 4, or in primary schools and businesses in different locations throughout the city. Full-time teaching consists of 26 45-minute lessons per week, but part-time is available.

  • completing simple administrative tasks (recording attendance, administering tests twice per year and entering plans for lessons to be taught in the next few weeks)

  • communicating with co-teachers and colleagues to ensure the best experience for all of our students

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a CELTA or TEFL qualification (candidates with YL qualifications are particularly encouraged to apply)

  • some experience working with young people, in any context

  • a keen interest in and a desire to improve as an EFL teacher
