The International Montessori School of Prague, a small, community oriented private Montessori school in Prague 4, is seeking a reliable, responsive and organized individual for the position of Kindergarten Support and Childcare for our Montessori Primary classroom. The Kindergarten Support and Childcare Teacher is responsible for serving as a childcare teacher during after school hours.
We are an AMS-accredited Montessori school, serving 120 students, focused on delivering a strong English program with a Czech component. We inspire children fom 15 months to 12 years and pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, growth-focused environment for students and faculty alike.
We are seeking staff members who take initiative, have a compassionate and joyful personality, and are motivated by a strong love for children and authentic Montessori education. Requirements:
Completed education above secondary school and has at least 2 years’ experience with children, ideally in a group setting.
Work experience in making decisions, working with others and working independently. Communicative and flexible worker.
English and Czech fluency: one at C2, other at least at the B2 or C1 level.
Legally able to live and work in the Czech Republic on the basis of a Zivnostensky list. Other ways of contract are open for further discussion.
Previous experience with Montessori is welcome but not a must. However, we do require an open and respectful attitude to children and our educational model, as well as a willingness to learn and professionally develop on the job.

Job duties and tasks involve (include but are not limited to):
Overseeing the childcare program, including creating activities and games for the students, maintaining discipline, supporting students and completing all administrative work for the positive
Collaborating with Childcare Supervisor to organize break schedules and substitution coverage.
Attend meetings with all childcare teachers to plan and organize activity days.
Communicate with parents professionally. Be a role model to children.
Innovates, brings new ideas and new ways to improve what is not working and what could be more efficient through observation and reflection.

12-month contract, which includes working July Summer Camp. Possibility of extension.
