TEACHER IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Maple Bear Brno is growing – and so is our team!

We are looking for a teacher for Grade 1 and a preparatory class (foundation year) for the 2026/2027 school year — someone who sees teaching as a calling and wants to be part of a modern school with an international outlook. If you enjoy working with children, want to gain experience in team teaching, and contribute to meaningful education, read on!

What you will do:

• You will teach first grade or the preparatory (foundation) class — curious children full of energy who look forward to every new adventure

• You will prepare engaging and varied activities that help children master the Czech curriculum while also introducing them to learning through the Maple Bear program

• You will strongly focus on nurturing children’s curiosity and love of learning — in both Czech and English

• You will work in tandem with a colleague throughout the school year

What you will be responsible for as a Maple Bear teacher:

• Preparing lessons that combine the best of Czech and Canadian educational approaches

• Creating a welcoming and safe classroom environment, where you and your students establish rules and daily routines together

• Monitoring students’ growth and progress and finding ways to further support their development

• Keeping records of student progress and sharing this information with parents so they can be part of their children’s learning journey

What we expect from you:

• Demonstrable experience working with children (not only teaching English, but also subjects such as mathematics, history, etc.) at the primary school level.

• Native English speaker

• A willingness to continue learning, growing, and trying new approaches.

• Team spirit — we often teach in tandem, so collaboration is key.

• A friendly, positive attitude and a genuine love for working with children.

• Willingness to participate in school events and meetings.
