Endless Curiosity: From the Sublime Hyacinth Collection
Dutch couple Yvette and Boudewijn met in Prague in the early '90s and proceeded to build one of the more idiosyncratic surveys of Czech post-revolutionary painting, despite not being insiders and not speaking Czech. Their Sublime Hyacinth collection focuses exclusively on Czech artists (Nikl, Rittstein, Císařovský, Bolf) and captures three decades of a scene building itself from scratch with no infrastructure, no market, and maximum chaos.
