How to get there:

Flights: Smart Wings and Easy Jet are low-cost airlines flying from Prague to Paris. As of the time of this writing, both were offering specials, along with Czech Airlines. A flight for 2 in October with Smart Wings was a little over 10,000 CZK. In November it was 8,000 CZK. Easy Jet’s offer in October was almost 12,000 (you can save significantly if you leave on a Thursday or return on a Monday). November flights were 8,000 CZK.

To get there, it’s a relatively short 1 hour and 45 minute flight. Upon arrival at Charles de Gaulle (the majority of the flights from Prague will take you here as opposed to Paris’ Orly airport) I recommend taking the city train RER B into Paris. The ride will cost you 9.10 EUR and will take you through the city center, stopping at three main stations from where you can walk or catch the metro to your hotel.

Where to stay:
Staying in Paris’ Bastille district will put you within walking distance of the city’s center while offering hotel prices that are significantly less. If you do wish to stay a bit closer to the action, try the Latin Quarter – home to the Sorbonne – where there are a number of budget accommodations.

Autumn Events:Nuit Blanche (October 6) – Paris’ version of Museum Night, Montmatre Wine Harvest (October 10-14), The Autumn Festival (now until December)
