The Radlická Cultural Sports Center in Smíchov has reopened its doors just in time for summer, with a host of activities for Prague residents.
The cultural sports center has been transformed with 36 tons of sand outdoors to create a sandy beach, complete with sunbeds and a bar. Over the next few months, enjoy movies, live music, food trucks and more.
The outdoor space will offer movies every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Friday, guests will enjoy live music; on Monday, dancing. On Wednesday, Radlická will offer alternating cultural events. The outdoor space has been furnished by IKEA Czech Republic in the style of 1960s Cuba. At the end of the summer, the furniture used at the center will have a second life when IKEA and Radlická sell it to the public at a joint market.
The historic multi-function space was first established in 2013 when the owners built it up from a dilapidated former railway warehouse building. It’s a short walk from the Anděl Metro Station.
When Radlická first opened, it was the first-of-its-kind building in Prague and offered a unique combination of entertainment, live music, sports and cultural events.
The center has opened their summer zone in full. For a full list of upcoming events, visit their website here.
