The largest mobile operators in Czechia—O2, T-Mobile, and Vodafone—have launched expanded roaming data packages for travel outside the EU ahead of the summer holiday season, offering more options for customers visiting popular destinations like Turkey, Switzerland, Albania, and the U.S.

O2: Free starter data and expanded svět packages

O2 has introduced a free 1 GB data allowance valid for the first 24 hours in more than 90 non-EU countries for customers on contract tariffs. The initiative allows users to manage essential online needs upon arrival abroad.

Customers can later activate Svět TOP data packages offering 1 GB for CZK 299 or 5 GB for CZK 399. These packages are valid in 96 countries, covering 95 percent of customers’ travel destinations outside the EU, according to company data. A separate Svět Ostatní 1 GB option for less common destinations is available for CZK 999 in 28 additional countries.

T-Mobile: Larger data options in high-traffic zones

T-Mobile expanded its roaming offerings with new 5 GB and 10 GB packages, priced at CZK 549 and CZK 999, respectively, for use in Zone A—its most frequented roaming destinations. These new tiers supplement existing 1 GB and 2 GB packages.

“Zone A, which includes destinations such as Turkey, Switzerland, Albania, and the U.S., accounts for the majority of our roaming data traffic outside the EU,” said Johana Valtrová of T-Mobile’s communications department. “Since the introduction of roaming packages in March last year, data usage outside the EU has nearly quadrupled year-over-year," T-Mobile says.

Vodafone: Weekly and monthly data offers

Vodafone is expanding its World Roaming tariff to include a 3 GB weekly package for CZK 299 and a 7 GB monthly package for CZK 599. Customers preferring voice and SMS can opt for the Roaming for a Day plan, which mirrors domestic usage—including calls and messages—for CZK 199 per day. All users receive an additional 1 GB as a summer bonus, valid through Aug. 31.

Under EU regulations, mobile users continue to pay domestic rates for services used within EU member states.
