Prague/Copenhagen, Sept 11 (CTK) — Denmark has put the Czech Republic on its list of high-risk countries, as of 24:00 CEST today, due to the recent surge in the coronavirus infection. Only those travellers from the Czech Republic with urgent reasons to do so will be allowed in country, no tourism, the Czech Foreign Ministry and Danish media have said.
Denmark updates its travel recommendations regularly every Thursday afternoon. The DR broadcaster today reported that the Czech Republic has been transferred to the orange category of countries which Copenhagen recommends not to be visited by its citizens unless urgently necessary.
Out of the travellers arriving from Czech Republic, Denmark will let in only those who can produce a specific reasons for their visit, such as travel for work or the transfer of goods. Students may go to Denmark for study purposes, the Czech Foreign Ministry has tweeted.

Furthermore, entry is possible for relatives with direct family links such as parents, children and siblings, and partners of Danish residents.
Attending a childbirth or funeral is also among the accepted reasons to visit from the Czech Republic.
According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, the Czech Republic has registered 38 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past two weeks, DR said.
The Danish authorities view countries with the increase over 30/100,000 as risky.
