Inflation in Czechia slowed more than expected in June, giving consumers some relief after several years of rising prices.

Annual consumer price growth fell to 1.5 percent, down from 2.1 percent in May, according to the preliminary estimate from the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO). Prices also fell month-on-month, declining by 0.3 percent.

For households, the picture is mixed. The weekly grocery shop is becoming cheaper in some areas, especially food and fuel, but many everyday expenses, from restaurant meals to haircuts and repairs, continue to rise.
