In the Czech Republic, Black Friday was a little-known notion until a few years ago, when local retailers began to cash in on the opportunity. Now, widespread promotions can be seen at retailers throughout the country, like the Palladium shopping center in Prague, though discounts may not match US competition.
You won’t have to face a mob rush in Prague or elsewhere in the country, but you might want to do your shopping online, anyway.
In that case, online server Lupa.cz has compiled an excellent rundown of all shops offering special Black Friday deals.

- Online electronics retailer Alza.cz is offering discounts of up to 80%.
- Mall.cz also has discounts of up to 80%, with an average discount of 43%.
- Competitors Datart and Electroworld have similar deals through Sunday.
- Popular local clothing store ZOOT has 50% off all black-colored apparel.
- H&M is offering 20% off all items in-store and online with the code 0020.
- Parfemy.cz – up to 49% off.
- Lonely Planet currently has 40% off travel guides.
- iStores.cz and iStyle.eu have 1-day discounts on iPhones and other Mac products.
