Developers of the widely used Czech service Mapy.cz have unveiled a useful addition that is set to enhance user experience. The map-based portal now offers access to cadastral maps, allowing users to view property boundaries, house perimeters, meadow and forest areas, and more.

Detailed information to help people

This newly introduced cadastral map isn't just a static layer of lines; it provides users with the ability to access detailed real estate cadastre information by simply clicking on the desired location.

The data is sourced directly from the Czech Land Survey and Cadastral Office, making Mapy.cz a comprehensive resource for property information seekers. In this regard, Mapy.cz now serves a similar function to the iKatastr.cz server.

This will particularly help prospective homebuyers and those interested in who the owner of a property is. With Mapy.cz's latest feature, accessing this information has become more convenient than ever before.

Users can easily select the cadastral map option from the website's map selection, simplifying their property-research process. While the cadastral map is not yet available in the mobile application, this is set to be released soon.

A cadastre is a detailed and official record or map of the ownership, boundaries, and value of land plots within a specific area. Czechia introduced it in the second half of the 17th century.

Clicking on any plot of land within Mapy.cz opens a small window that provides an overview of the ČÚZK real estate cadastre. Additionally, after completing a CAPTCHA, users can access information about the area’s owner. Many users have already lauded this practical innovation on social media platforms, highlighting its significance in simplifying property-related inquiries.

Each property or land area comes with a plot number, which can also be used to search properties on other cadastral databases.

The introduction of cadastral maps to Mapy.cz represents a significant enhancement to the service's capabilities. This feature not only benefits those in search of real estate but also simplifies property-related inquiries for various purposes.
