Argus & Medusa

Centered around Théodore Géricault’s world-famous painting The Raft of the Medusa, DOX’s latest major exhibition of 2026 ‘Argus & Medusa: On Hope in Dark Times’ opens to the public on Thursday evening (for free) and will run until April 4, 2027. The exhibition explores how Géricault’s masterpiece – seen as an allegory of a world on the brink of chaos – has inspired generations of contemporary painters and visual artists.

Jazz of Four Continents

Jazz Dock’s flagship and long-running Jazz of Four Continents yearlong festival has a little surprise this weekend, with a hotly anticipated performance by American vocalist-composer Morley – accompanied by Grammy Award-winner Chris Bruce at the guitar and Yuval Lion on the drums. Known for her beautiful vocals flying somewhere between jazz, folk and soul, Morley will present her latest album ‘Follow the Sound’.

Film and Architecture Festival

Held as part of the nationwide Day of Architecture and organized by the NGO Kruh, the Film and Architecture Festival takes place throughout the week in Prague’s Kino Světozor and Edison Filmhub and across Czechia. Dozens of screenings dedicated – as the name suggests – to architecture, urban transformation and renewal, housing and sustainability.

Future Gate Sci-Fi Film Festival

The science-fiction and nerdy Future Gate Film Festival is back in Prague’s Kino Lucerna until Sunday for its 13th edition, focusing this year on the theme of geopolitics and the depletion of earth’s resources. Like every year, visitors can choose between a wide selection of new releases and sci-fi classics. From next week, the festival goes on the road to Brno, Olomouc and half a dozen other Czech cities.
