Deadlines and to-dos

Extended tax return deadline for professional filings

While the standard electronic filing deadline via Data Box or the MOJE daně portal passed in early May, June 30 marks the absolute final day to secure your paperwork if you are utilizing a professional tax advisor. If a certified accountant or tax attorney is filing your 2025 income tax return on your behalf under a power of attorney, your completed return must be submitted and any outstanding tax liabilities fully paid by this date.

New Green Savings program shifts to loans

Applications open on June 25 for a redesigned format of the popular New Green Savings (Nová zelená úsporám) program. To stabilize funding after repeatedly oversubscribed rounds, the state is shifting its primary support mechanism for standard households from direct cash grants to state-backed, interest-free loans.

Property owners can borrow up to CZK 2 million for comprehensive family house renovations or up to CZK 750,000 per apartment unit to fund energy-saving upgrades like insulation, solar panels, or heat pumps. The state will cover all interest and fees, offering a repayment period of up to 25 years.
