From Moravian Croatian villages to Romani-speaking communities, minority languages in Czechia are at risk of fading without stronger state support, according to a new report by the Council of Europe.

While Czechia formally recognizes several minority languages, including Slovak, German, Polish, Romani, and Moravian Croatian, linguists and policy experts say protection remains largely symbolic, with limited real-world support in schools and public life.
