🌧️ Storms incoming—stay alert!
Severe storms are set to hit Czechia Monday afternoon and evening, especially in Moravia, Silesia, and southeastern Bohemia. Expect heavy rain, strong winds (up to 90 km/h), and hail up to 3 cm. Localized flash floods are likely. Stay safe and informed—download the FFI app to track flood risks in real time. Pack an umbrella, plan ahead, and take care out there.
🌌 Look up tonight for the Northern lights
Heads up, sky watchers! A rare G4 geomagnetic storm is lighting up the skies, and the northern lights may be visible from Czechia and Slovakia tonight, June 2. If you're hoping to catch a glimpse, find a dark spot with a clear view to the north, far from city lights. Cloudy weather may get in the way, but breaks in the clouds could offer a window. To boost your chances, download an aurora tracking app and follow real-time updates.
