The Villa was founded in 2008 by two co-founders, Dagmar McCaffrey and Vincent McCaffrey. Prior to that, it operated under the name Ace Coach as a freelance business from 2003. Both founders bring many years of professional experience in language teaching and organizing study abroad programmes. Between them, they share around 30 years of experience as well as thousands of teaching hours.

The Villa’s teaching approach is based primarily on a sensitive and flexible response to the individual needs of each client—whether an individual learner or a company providing courses for its employees. The teachers working with The Villa are highly qualified professionals with extensive experience. The team includes both native speakers with relevant academic backgrounds or TEFL certification, as well as Czech teachers with appropriate qualifications and language proficiency fully comparable to that of native speakers.
