How to get there:

Flights: Both Wizz Air and Smart Wings offer flights to Rome. Flights on Wizz in October were 8,400 CZK, and 6,240 in November. Smart Wings flights were significantly higher (12,000 for 2 October. Close to 10,000 in November)

The close to two-hour flight will take you to Rome’s Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci airport). To get into the city center, either take the “Leonardo express” train, which will bring you to the city’s main Termini train station (14 EUR) or take the Sabina-Fiumicino line (FR1), which stops at several main stations (8 EUR).

Where to stay:
Although a tourist hot spot, Rome’s Trastevere district (located on the opposite side of the river Tiber from the expensive city center) still retains a quiet charm and serves as a conveniently located respite after a long day of walking the city. However, Monti, which is located not far from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, is said to be a smaller, less touristy version of Trastevere.

Autumn Events:RomaEurope Festival (September-November) – performing arts festival, Rome International Film Festival (November)
