Metro service on part of the C line will be interrupted again this weekend between main train station Hlavní nádraží and Vltavská. Those stations will be open, but the Florenc station on the C line will be closed. The C line will run in two sections, from Háje to Hlavní nádraží and Vltavská to Letňany.

The closure will be from the start of metro operations on Saturday, June 11, until the end of operations on Sunday, June 12. The operation will resume on Monday, June 13, 2022, from the morning operation.

A substitute tram line XC will run from Hlavní nádraží to Vltavská via Masarykovo nádraží, Bílá labuť, Těšnov, Štvanice, Vltavská, Strossmayerovo náměstí, and Veletržní palác.

In addition, tram line 36 will run on the route Zvonařka – IP Pavlova – Karlovo náměstí – Václavské náměstí – Masarykovo nádraží – Bílá labuť – Vltavská – Výstaviště – Nádraží Holešovice – Kobylisy – Ládví – Sídliště Ďáblice.

The metro on line B will be in operation for its entire route, but in Florenc it will not be possible to change to line C. The Florenc B station will be accessible only via the E1 entrance in Sokolovská Street.

The Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) is continuing its renovations of the ceiling and vestibule of the Florenc C metro station. This weekend, DPP will install and anchor the first nine new prestressed beams to the ceiling above the station. Each bean weighs up to 28 tons.

Three weeks ago, DPP removed the first nine old prestressed beams out of a total of 131, which together with the large concrete slab below the intersection of Křižíkova and Ke Štvanici streets form the current ceiling above the Florenc C metro station vestibule.

Due to the closure of the entire underpass and the vestibule of the Florenc C station, access to this station will be possible only through October 2023 via the E1 entrance in Sokolovská Street.

Construction companies are removing ceilings, implementing paving protection, setting up temporary steel structures, and starting demolition work so that nine more prestressed beams can be removed on the weekend of Aug. 6–7, 2022.
