If you happen to be out and about on these recent drizzly days you might want to head toward Anděl or Karlín where a steaming bowl of tom-yum, chickpea, or pumpkin cream awaits.
The October Soup Whirlwind and Food Truck (Polívková Smršť a Food Truck) kicked off this week with chef Roman Paulus of the Alcron and a handful of other Czech gastro-scene notables ladling up gourmet creations from the Nový Smíchov market site; tomorrow’s soup du jour is brought to you by Polífkárna.
Next week (Oct 12-16) the tour heads to locations around Prague 8 including several metro stations on the B line where chefs from La Gare, Chateau St. Havel, and other fine-dining establishment will dish out the brothy goodness.
Prices for a bowl of soup range from 49-55 CZK and the proceeds from the event go to the ERGO Assets foundation, a charity devoted to the rehabilitation of victims of stroke and brain injury.
