New Italian Bistro DAST Bar & Restaurant a Hit in Dejvice

While pizzerias are ubiquitous on the Prague dining landscape, finding authentic Italian cuisine – and especially fresh seafood sourced from the Mediterranean – can be a little more difficult.

But one new restaurant in Prague 6 is hoping to change that.

Located just a few blocks away from another popular Prague Italian dining destination – Da Emanuel on Charles de Gaulle street – DAST, named after co-founders Danko and Stefan, is the latest edition to a burgeoning dining scene in Dejvice that combines international flavors with prices that won’t break the bank.

The menu at DAST  includes light primi piatti starters like tuna tartare with avocado (215 CZK), buffalo mozzarella with caponata (175 CZK), and a seasonal summer salad with strawberries and avocado (149 CZK), to go along with Italian staples like minestrone soup (79 CZK).

Pasta dishes include Bucatini all’Amatriciana with cured pork cheeks, pecorino cheese, and tomato sauce (179 CZK), black shrimp linguine (225 CZK), and tagliatelle Sorrento (155 CZK), while secondi piatti plates serve up favorites like eggplant parmesan (159 CZK) and a beef flank steak with asparagus and potatoes (320 CZK).

DAST also boasts an extensive selection of Italian wines that line the walls of the venue, along with Italian coffees to go along with desserts like tiramisu (79 CZK).

You can visit DAST at V. P. Čkalova 14 in Prague 6, but reservations are highly recommended for dinner.
