Hard Rock Hotel Prague will open in 2023 with 523 rooms and suites near Prague’s Letná park on land formerly used for training by football club Sparta Praha. The five-star hotel will focus on congress tourism.

The rooftop bar will
have views of Prague Castle, and the adjacent restaurant will have a
south-facing terrace overlooking the Vltava river.

The hotel will also have a Lobby Bar and Sessions Restaurant, which will offer all-day dining based on seasonal ingredients. It will be decorated by a three-story 550-square-meter decorative wall with a relief depicting a gigantic sound wave accompanied by lights.

Guests will also be
able to enjoy coffee and snacks throughout the day at Constant Grind
Café, which will turn into a cocktail bar in the evening.

“Prague is a
remarkable favorite among European capitals and has undergone a major
development in the tourism industry in recent years. Hard Rock is
honored to be able to enrich this beautiful city with its
music-packed presence after two years of working on the project,”
Todd Hricko, Senior Vice President and Director of Global Hotel
Segment Development at Hard Rock International, said in a press
release.

Plans call for a
ballroom with a capacity of 1,800 people for live performances and a
5500 sqm meeting space. The outdoor Woodstock Lawn will host
exhibitions, social and other events for up to 3000 people.

There will also be a
rooftop pool and full service Rock Spa, as well as other brand
features such as the Body Rock Fitness Center, the Rock Shop, the
@Biz Business Center, and the Rock Star Suite. Guests will be able to
use the Rock Om Yoga program and free trials of The Sound of Your
Stay Fender guitars, amplifiers and headphones.

The hotel will be
built by EP Real Estate. “We greatly appreciate the opportunity to
work together to build this hotel with Hard Rock International, which
will be the operator and tenant of the property. It is undoubtedly a
respected hotel chain that will complement the existing portfolio of
Prague hotels. For EP Real Estate, this is a key project on the
domestic market, which we have been paying attention to from the
initial planning stage,” EP Real Estate director Michal Viktorin
said.

Hard Rock Hotel
Prague close to Generali Arena, the home stadium of AC Sparta Prague.
Next to the hotel is the Hard Rock Sports Bar, whose interiors are
reminiscent of the famous history of this football club. The
historical center of Prague can be reached by a walk through Letná
park or by tram.

The hotel project was previously announced by Daniel Křetínský, owner of the parent company of EP Real Estate, in June, but the name of the hotel operator, Hard Rock International, was not disclosed at that time. The cost was estimated at 5 billion CZK. The design is by architect Petr Pelčák, and interiors were by UK studio Fuse, Before the hotel was announced, there had been a plan for a business center and shopping mall on the same site.

Hard Rock Hotel
Prague is the latest in a series of announcements, following the
recent opening of the 30th hotel in the portfolio, Hard Rock Hotel
Maldives, and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the world’s
first guitar-shaped hotel. In 2020, the company will open Hard Rock
Hotel Dublin, Hard Rock Hotel Madrid, Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam, and
Hard Rock Hotel Budapest.

Hard Rock
International operates in 74 countries worldwide, and already has a
Hard Rock Cafe in Prague. The company owns the world’s most
valuable collection of more than 83,000 pieces of musical landmarks,
including Eric Clapton’s guitar. The trademark is owned by the parent
company Seminole Tribe of Florida.

EP Real Estate
provides real estate projects within Křetínský’s EPH holding
