Prague is shaking off the last of winter as its market season officially hits full stride this weekend with the opening of the annual Easter market on Old Town Square.

There have also been some location changes due to construction on Wenceslas Square. Meanwhile, the Easter markets retain a charitable element on March 26 with the Mayor's Food Drive.

Also notable, the farmer's market at Náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad opens after two years of construction, while other market locations started opening in mid-March. A number of Easter-themed and spring-related events also run from March through Easter, including the historic Charles Bridge Egg Festival.

Easter this year in Czechia runs from April 3 to Monday, April 6, 2026. Bookmark this list of market dates and other events to make the most of it.
