This week’s calendar runs from June 8–13, with tips for open-air festivals, riverside culture, and green escapes across Prague as summer weather settles in, including the Weekend of Open Gardens and the Bonsai and Japanese Culture Festival.   • June 9: Czech archives across the country open to the public with guided tours, exhibitions, and workshops marking International Archives Day celebrations.
  • June 9: Historian Mark Cornwall presents a free English-language lecture at the Institute of Czech Literature exploring queer masculinity in the Bohemian lands between 1930 and 1945.

  • June 13–14: Weekend of Open Gardens invites visitors to Prague’s parks and gardens with guided tours, cultural programs, and access to normally closed green spaces.
  • June 15: Czech Craft Club at L’Objet Trouvé combines crafting, Czech language practice, and socializing in a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop.
