What to do this weekend in Prague: Best events for September 4–6

On Thursday evening, Fotograf Zone Gallery is holding the official opening of a new exhibition dedicated to the vast work of celebrated Czech photographer Adam Holý who worked, up to his sudden death ten years ago, at the borders between art, fashion, landscape and advertising. Put together thanks to his brother David Holý, the exhibit runs until September 24.

Expand your knowledge and love for Thai cuisine with tomorrow’s Thai food market, running from 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., courtesy of the Thai Embassy, in Prague 6. And if the week treated you rough, treat yourself to a Thai massage or shop for traditional Thai products at the nearby stands.

It’s with his Cello Concerto in B minor and New World symphony that the 2026 Dvořák Prague Festival opens on Saturday. Dozens of concerts are planned in half a dozen Prague venues through September 23 to celebrate the legacy of the most famous Czech classical composer to date.

Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry and their American rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires are coming to Prague with both original songs and covers of The Who, The Doors, Led Zeppelin and more on Sunday. To make it even better, iconic Czech band Lucie will be the opening act from 8 p.m.

Edison Filmhub is celebrating 7 years of its English-friendly Movie Barf Monday screenings this Friday. Expect a screening of the delightfully morbid 90’s cult classic Addams Family Values, followed by an afterparty in the boutique cinema’s bar and a tattoo pop-up for anyone feeling an inkling for some ink.

Turn your Saturday or Sunday into a day trip with the kids just on the outskirts of Prague to visit Arcade Hry, part retro arcade gaming-house, part museum, open only on selected days in September. A little haven for young gamers and arcade lovers with over 170 gaming machines all in one place.

More than 130 designers, brands and creators of all sorts - from fashion to jewelry, cosmetics, ceramics and accessories - will take over part of the Prague river embankment this Sunday for the latest edition of the popular MINT Market. Free admission, wheelchair accessible, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
