What to do this weekend in Prague: Best events for August 28–30

Final days to visit Galerie Rudolfinum's latest exhibition exploring how AI, computing and digital infrastructures undermine our own personal agency and national sovereignty. A special day rave will conclude the exhibit on Sunday afternoon at the Goethe Institute - also free of charge.

Ladronka hosts a daylong free-entry food festival celebrating small-scale producers, farmers, bakers, and street food vendors. 900 picnic baskets sell at discounted rates, and a raffle offers over 100 prizes throughout the day.

The closing event for DATAS: The Data and the Sovereign transforms the Goethe-Institut into a Sunday afternoon rave across two stages – Soso Klein, Lara Elfara, Ligal Tamir, and Luca Musto rotating through downtempo and chill electronic sets.

James Cameron's all-time science fiction and post-apocalyptic action-filled classic is having a bit of a moment: Kino Aero is preparing a double feature of the franchise's first two installments on Saturday, and multiple screenings of Terminator 2: Judgement Day are planned in Bio Oko, Edison Filmhub, Kino Světozor and Kino Dlabačov throughout the weekend. From foe to friend, Arnold Schwarzenegger is back.

Čakovice Castle Park hosts an afternoon-to-evening summer festival where live music runs while you work through local beer and food stalls. The festival is run by the Čakovice municipal office as a summer event for the neighborhood.

The Dancing House – Frank Gehry and Vladimír Milunić's 1996 collaboration, born from a Prague bomb-site prologue and Václav Havel's vision of dialogical architecture – turns 30, and Jiráskovo Square's riverside embankment becomes a two-day dance floor. Expect bachata and street dance lessons, Latin dance demonstrations, children's activities, and acrobatic performances by Losers Cirque Company, all free.
