July's double public holidays
Saints Cyril and Methodius Day (July 5) is followed immediately by Jan Hus Day (July 6), a Monday, making it a three-day weekend. Unlike some Czech public holidays, neither day carries retail trading restrictions, so supermarkets and large stores are free to open on both.
