What’s the quickest way off a Prague metro?

Some may struggle navigating a path through the crowd of travellers fighting to get on, but one Prague man found an alternative method: kicking off the glass window of metro carriage door before it opens, and watching the crowd scatter out of the way.

Prague Police today released footage of the unidentified man kicking the window right off the door, as well as additional footage of the same man at another station, in the hopes that a member of the public recognizes the suspect:

“We would like to ask the man in what part of Japan he studied karate, and where he learned this kick,” Prague Police jokingly stated on YouTube.

The incident occurred in August at the Pražského povstání metro station, and police have thus far been unable to identify the perpetrator.

Damage to the metro was estimated to be in the range of 30,000 crowns.

If you recognize the man in the video, please inform police by calling 158.

Destruction of the windows on Prague metro carriage doors by unruly passengers is unfortunately part of a growing trend.

Last February, another would-be martial artist kicked out the window of a metro door in an incident also caught on video.

And this July, a man who missed his metro ride at Letňany vented his frustration by punching and shattering the window of the door that had closed in front of him.
