If you believe multiple city rankings, the Czech Republic is tops for women when it comes to traveling solo, finding career satisfaction, and enjoying a lengthy maternity leave to boot.

Of course, the Czech Republic is also at the bottom of numerous, somewhat contradictory rankings as well with a gender pay gap that's among the widest in the EU, and a below-average number of women leading companies and on boards.

In terms of safety, a large percentage of women in the country feel harassed in public transport and the country lacks critical services for rape and domestic assault victims.

As the #Metoo movement makes its mark in Czechia and a progressive new government considers policies aimed at mandatory wage transparency and improved work-life balance, some say change is on the way.

What do you think? As part of our coverage of expat women in the Czech Republic this month, we've put together a poll that asks our readers to rate life for women in the Czech Republic, the results of which will be published later this month.
