Czechia is seeing the rise of a subtle but damaging workplace phenomenon known as “quiet cracking,” according to a new report from Grafton Recruitment.

Driven by the lingering effects of the pandemic and the rapid integration of artificial intelligence, the trend is characterized by employees "breaking" under long-term pressure without open conflict or immediate burnout.

While the issue is already widespread in the United States—affecting one in five workers—it is now gaining a foothold in the Czech market. Current data suggests that roughly 7 percent of employees in the Czech Republic are currently experiencing this gradual loss of engagement and trust.
